Q. Do the Condo rules apply to me if I'm a renter?
A: Yes! You must ask your landlord for a copy of the condominium Rules & Regulations (also called the Bylaws) which all residents are required to follow. You can also request a copy from the Resident Services Office or read them under Governing Documents. Q. Are pets allowed? A: Yes! Pets are allowed. See the Pet Rules in our Other Helpful Documents section of the website. Q. Is smoking permitted in the common areas? A: We do have designated common areas where smoking is permitted. |
Q. What is a "management company"?
A: A management company is contracted by the Board of Directors to provide such services as: Collection of assessments, supervision of subcontractors, obtaining bids for subcontracted services and providing financial statements and collection reports, as well as a general clearing house for problem solving, communications with homeowners and the Board of Directors and to serve in an advisory capacity. Q. What is the Board of Directors? A: The Condominium Association is a governing body that is required to oversee its business. The Board of Directors is elected by the homeowners, or as otherwise specified in the bylaws. Q. What is an assessment? A: The assessment is the periodic amount due from each homeowner to cover the operating expenses of the common area and provide for reserve funds for replacement of common facilities in future years. Q. What is the difference between an owner, resident, and tenant? A: A unit owner is a person or entity who legally owns a unit at Watergate at Landmark Condominium. A non-resident owner is a person(s) or entity who legally owns the unit but does not reside at the building. A tenant/resident is a person who is renting a unit from a unit owner or unit owner's agent. Q. Where does the school bus pick up children?
A: We have school bus stops located inside our property at the Front Entrance (on Yoakum Parkway). Q. Are there fees for the indoor tennis courts at the Racquet Club or pool? A: No, there are no fees for the indoor tennis courts at the Racquet Club. Court contracts are available for $5 per hour with a 2-hour maximum per day. Court contracts have to be renewed every 3 months. You can reserve court time by visiting our Court Reserve Portal. There is no fee for residents to use the pool; however, guests must pay a fee. Q. Do you have a shuttle bus service? A: Yes. Our shuttle bus runs on Mondays - Saturdays excluding the following days: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
