Watergate at Landmark is a condominium community located in West End Alexandria, Virginia. The neighborhood sits on 28 acres of landscape. Our employees service and maintain the property, including the amenity areas, the community center rooms, the indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor racquet sports, an extensive fitness center, a library, a Market eatery, a convenience store, and much more.

​​We employ staff support within five departments: Environmental Services, Facilities & Maintenance, Patrol Services, Residential Services, and the Management Support Team.

WAL is seeking to fill two full-time Patrol Services Officer positions for either 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 2:30 – 11:00 p.m. shifts to provide property patrol services to the residential community.
​

Job Requirements:
· Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously with residents, guests, management, and co-workers, both orally and in writing.
· Candidate must possess ability to exercise good judgment under normal and emergency circumstances; and present a professional demeanor and appearance.
· Prior security experience preferred. Candidate with strong customer service skills and experience may also be considered.
· High level of professionalism and dependability a must.
· Candidate must demonstrate ability to use a personal computer with basic MS Office software.
· Weekends and holiday duty hours required, Occasional OT possible, and
· This position and department are considered “essential personnel” in times of severe weather (snow) or other emergencies.

​Special Requirement:
· Candidate must have a valid Driver’s license and ability to safely operate Patrol Service vehicles (PSVs).
· High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Duties:
(Includes but not limited to the following)

· Enforcement of Bylaws, rules and regulations and issue notices for violations.
· Patrol property for safety concerns and violations.
· Assist in operations of front and back gate duties to include:
· Conduct multiple property inspections for safety to include perimeter fence, storage rooms, lighting, etc.
· Follow property procedures for emergency situations to include fire, water leaks, power outage, elevator rescue, threats, weather etc.
· Provide daily log reports.
· Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information:
A pre-employment background check and drug screening will be required prior to hire.

WAL is seeking a full-time, maintenance mechanic to inspect, repair and maintain equipment for the property.
​

Job Requirements:
· Experience with plumbing, electrical, construction, locksmith, glazier, and general mechanical knowledge
· Must be dependable and reliable, and be able to work occasional OT, weekends, and holidays. Must be available for rotating “on-call” duty for emergency responses (floods, leaks, elevator trap etc.)
· Able to safely balance on ladders or other structure
· Ability to use handheld power tools, such as drills, saws, drain snakes, etc.
· Must be able to lift up-to 75 lbs.
· Condo/property maintenance experience a plus
· OSHA compliance experience and/or certifications a plus

Special Requirement:
· Candidate must have a valid Driver’s license
· High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred

Duties:
(Includes but not limited to the following)

· Building and Grounds Duties-inspect, repair and/or replace building equipment, lighting, mechanicals, plumbing, locks, and glass.
· Preventive Maintenance-General maintenance to include HVAC, generators, fire pumps building rooftops, elevator, amenity areas-racquet club, lobbies, gate guardhouses, pool etc.
· Emergency Response-Respond to emergencies i.e., fire, floods, leaks, power outages, elevator trap calls, sanitary waste backups, kitchen backups etc.
· Seasonal Duties-As needed in extreme weather conditions, i.e. snow removal, electrical storms, power outage, etc.
· Other duties as assigned.
